Bug Description

If a wiki page contains an external link, e.g. [http://google.com google], then updates fail without any errors. Checking the page history on the wiki shows no updates. The *Messages* buffer contains only two lines:
Posting to: --wiki API site here--
Contactin host: --host name here--

Otherwise updates work perfectly. I have mediawiki-debug set to 't' but I see no further debugging information. I'm using mediawiki 2.2.4 on GNU Emacs 24.1.1, Windows 7. Please let me know if there is any further information that would be of use. Also, thanks for the nice little MediaWiki Client!

Sorry, I had ConfirmEdit extension enabled and it was requiring a CAPTCHA before allowing external links. Disabled the extension and there is no longer any problem.

Changed in mediawiki-el:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
summary: - Cannot save a page with an external link
