Bug Description

The soft keyboard does not allow for dots to be typed, so entering something like google.com in an edit box is impossible!

The problem is from the sample keyboard code. A quick solution is to separate the comma key and the dot key. If you agree with the solution, I can start making the change.

I agree for a quick fix, in the long run though, we should just take the code from an already-developed full keyboard (e.g., the built-in one) and just add the a11y bit. Otherwise we'll spend a lot of time on stuff others have already solved (e.g., word-prediction). Would you have some time to get that going? We would first need to find the code for the built-in input method.
