When i switch to fullscreen TV signal stops with freeze image after the top statusline disappeared after few moments.

this affects the version from ubuntu repositories as well asthelatest 1.3.5 version

Works fine here, never had this issue. Might have something to do with your video hardware/driver.

Are you using vdpau? I've had this same problem after upgrading to NVidia's 260 series drivers, apparently it's a problem with xine. Switching back to xv fixed it for me.

I'm going to assume that this is a xine VDPAU thing. Correct me if I'm wrong.
