Search entry cannot be made sensitive

While the search box background of Music and Photos is white, the one of Calendar and those from Settings (Applications, Desktop, etc.) are grey. Actually the search box in Settings is useless...

The search box in settings is not useless but i agree that a common background color should be defined.

I think it is useless indeed. Please, go to Settings > Applications. See the search box? Click on it. Ok, now go to Settings > Desktop. See the search box? Click on it. And so on...

What you're talking about is the "insensitive" state of the widget. It is grey to indicate that it cannot be interacted with in its current state. You'll notice that the search entry is sensitive on "All Settings" part of Switchboard.

I am however re-targeting this report to Calendar and changing the title. It appears that the search entry in Calendar cannot be made sensitive. This may be a placeholder. However it will need to be removed before freya RC if the feature is not implemented.

I am sorry for my lack of precise terminology while pointing out the problems.

My humble opinion is that both of the insentiveness (the one of Calendar and the one of Settings) should be address in priority before the RC1...

Fixed by removing the dummy entry for now. Will re-add when the feature is implemented.

I hope the feature is implemented before the RC1 is out because it is an important feature for anyone who wants to rely on Maya and has to look when he has what.

Also, do not forget that there's the same problem in System Settings > Applications, System Settings > Desktop, System Settings > Language, and so on. Though in this case the search box can be removed : as I understand there's no point for it to be there...
