Bug Description

I think there is nothing more to say. Maya is right now only offline calendar and without online integration is for most people useless.

It's weird that the description says that it's GCal-syncing...

"Maya is a slim, lightweight, GCal-syncing GTK+ Calendar application written in Vala, specifically for the elementary project."

Thanks, I just removed that from the description, it was misleading.

Cody, it is still there.

You sure you're up-to-date?

"apt-cache show maya-calendar" should show at least Version: 0.2.0~r425-0+pkg16~precise1 along with the new description.

I removed the part from the project description on lp. Not sure if Cameron meant this or the package description.

I meant the lp description, sorry.

Does Maya use EDS as its backend? If it is, then it can easily sync to google-calendar (or any online calendar that supports caldav) using SyncEvolution (caldav).

CalDAV has been made a public API for Google calendar again, so the GCalendar API is no longer necessary. (http://googledevelopers.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/making-googles-caldav-and-carddav-apis.html)

Would that mean that integrating Google Calendar would make adding other calDAV providers very easy?

Using the revision 469, some events appear twice. When I delete one of them, the second event disappears, too.

Also, in some months, there appear events like 'Calendar week 8', which were neither in the local calendar, nor in Google calendar

In light of the following comment from Daniel Foré made on Aug. 18 in the G+ elementary community, I strongly discourage anyone from adding more money to this bounty: "Honestly it doesn't make a lot of sense for anyone to fix this until we get online accounts stuff working in Isis. Otherwise it'll just need to be immediately re-written."

Only the primary calendar shows in maya on the current build I'm running in a vm.

Just so this doesn't get marked as complete - because... well... without the work, wife, kids, household and birthdays this isn't really usable to manage appointments. XD

Maybe it'll come with better EDS integration / online accounts. I hope it's supposed to work smoothly by the time Isis is released.

As Timo mentioned above, only the primary Google calendar shows in Maya under the current release (using Freya). To make the sync function useful, support for multiple calendars probably needs to be included too.

When I call something google-calendar support I'm talking about how korganizer does it: Add google account info and check all the calendars you want. Not this whole "install evolution -> add the calendars as caldav, because nothing else works -> remove evolution -> use maya again" procedere.

This is neither usable nor done, imho.

I have my calendars set up now, but only via the evolution route.
