Bug Description

First note, Apologies if this needs to be in another area, but I didn't know of a easy way to get to the Calender's Launchpad page to feature request.

I don't know how complicated OwnClouds CalDav system is to integrate. But I would really like to be able to have all my Owncloud events both synced to, and be editable and be able to sync new events. So that they are also synced to my CalDav android app. Creating a completely "in-sync" calender that is no longer a hassle to deal with. :-)

This bug could easily be extended to all other online calendars, such as godaddy, keepandshare, googleagenda, etc.

I'm personally more concerned about the Google one, but yeah support for online calendars is a must in these days and ages.

Considering the latest news about the reliability of services rendered by google, ms or apple - this is becoming more interesting than google support.

The situation that google and ms are fighting each other at the expense of openness like a bunch of angry children... who knows how google will terminate all third-party-applications from using "their" calendar in the future?

see "hangouts vs xmpp"
or "google vs eas"
or "ms vs restoftheworld"

I think the only reliable future is in free (opensource) software solutions - and right now there is practially no standalone calendar application that can sync to whatever.

There's $75 in a bounty similar to this,

https://www.bountysource.com/issues/1066044-feature-request-owncloud-gmail-calendar-support-in-calendar-application

This bounty was for Google Calendar and OwnCloud support. Since Google Calendar support is already implemented and its bounty awarded, should it be safe to add $75 to this bounty?

OwnCloud does support CalDAV sync, so it's now implemented.

I don't have an OwnCloud server to test it so please feel free to reopen if CalDAV isn't working for you.

I'm trying to sync my OwnCloud calendar with Maya but it doesn't seem to sync (or show any warnings or errors).

Using Calendar 0.3 on Elementary OS 0.3 Freya (64-bit).

Using url:
http://[url to my owncloud]/remote.php/caldav/

I have been able to sync it to iCal (on OS X) and DAVdroid (on Android).

How can I get more info on what might be going wrong?

"http://[url to my owncloud]/remote.php/caldav/" is not correct.

It works. I have tested it with the official Demo of ownCloud 7.0.4.

You must specify the calendar and the user in the url!
