Bug Description

Hello,

In the latest version of max I can no longer edit the artist metadata, the album artist is edited instead. I had reverted to an older version to regain this function but now I've moved to Snow Leopard I can no longer use it (format preference pane bug). Can I make the current version of Max edit the Artist and not the Album Artist?

Thanks for any help!

I too also have that problem with the latest version of Max. If I edit the artist field when converting songs, it's only the album artist field that gets edited, the artist field stays as is.

Would it be possible to have both fields (artist / album artist) accessible & editable ?

Hello,

I would love to have the same feature that David Goscinny is asking for, which is having both fields (artist and album artist) available in the metadata window.

Thank you very much.

This is still a problem. When I open a FLAC file and it's got the Artist improperly entered (e.g. capitalization etc.) and I correct it, the corrected information gets entered into iTunes "Album Artist" field during conversion, but the "Artist" field is unchanged from the erroneous FLAC entry. I would prefer for Max to map the FLAC "Artist" field to the iTunes "Artist" field, and leave the "Album Artist" field empty, but I would settle for Max mapping any changes to it's Artist field to both fields in iTunes. I consider only mapping the Artist field to the Album Artist field and mapping ?? to the Artist field to be a bug.
