since i updated max to the latest version - max cannot read anymore such track/title-names from cue-files that include non english special characters: ö ä ü ß ` ´ ç etc etc.
instead the tracktitle is now left blank.
very annoying!

Can you post a sample cue file here?

I have a similar problem. All the fields are empty when I open my cue files. Yes they have special characters. Please see attached an example.

problem does not only affect tracks with german 'Umlaute', the 'ß' but also french accents `´ç etc. same goes for italian and spanish. such tracks wil be left blank by max.

furthermore so max will not show any data (track, title, length) and will therefore not be able to convert files at all if such a 'special character' is part of the cd's title.

Max 0.9.1 would not read track titles from a Shift-JIS CUE file, but it did convert the files. It read the track titles when I converted the CUE file to UTF-8.

after reading above comment i experimented with a manual textedit-conversion of one of my 'problem-cues' into utf-8 format.
in fact max i is able to read such manipulated cues (in total or the relevant missing tracks) thereafter - yet max will still not display the mentioned characters correctly.
