Bug Description

The current Maverick version has problems with the connection to the API of OpenSubtitles. It was also accepted in Debian for Squeeze passing through the freeze process.

It builds fine and without problems in Maverick.

Thank you

Marco, in general we prefer to backport packages in order to take advantage of new features, not to fix bugs, since not all users use backports. For fixing bugs we have the SRU process ( Is the fix for the OpenSubtitles API isolated enough that it could possible be submitted for an SRU?

Subdownloader still works, the API isn't overloading anymore. Maybe we can forget this change for maverick?

It is still bugging me. For example it stays way too long trying to find the sub, or connecting or searching. When i changed manually to 2.0.14 it solved EVERYTHING!! Actually it would not be hard. Just change the Lucid to Maverick tag in the ppa or repository since the one i am testing is the lucid one and it works correct. The 2.0.10 in the repos does not.
