Adobe Reader can't open a pdf file located in a samba shared folder

Bug Description

1. I have configured the system so that any PDF file is opened with Adobe Reader by default. Therefore, double-clicking a PDF file causes to execute the Adobe Reader application and the PDF file opened inside it.

2. If I try to open a PDF file located in my filesystem, the Adobe Reader is launched and the file is correctly opened in it. It works ok.

3. But, if I try to open a PDF file located in a shared folder (for example, in a Windows XP computer located in the same LAN), when I double-click on the PDF file, that file is opened with the Evince viewer instead of the Adobe Reader.

4. If I right-click on that remote file and select "Open to another application...", and then I select "Adobe Reader", it causes Adobe Reader launches but the file is not opened in it.

It seems that Adobe Reader is unable to open a PDF file located in a shared folder.

Acrobat can't handle gnome-vfs and being closed source, we cannot fix it. So this bug wil have to be rejected.
