Folders on the sd-card of an android phone running android 4.0.x (mtp) are given .txt icons without the .txt extension

Bug Description
If I connect my Android 4.0.4 device to my Ubuntu 12.04 system it works as expected, but folders are shown in a strange manner. Instead of normal folder icons they are given the icon of a .txt file. This does not happen in Nautilus, and if I copy a folder over to my HDD they are displayed normally, so I assume that nothing is wrong with the folders.
