Selection with most themes makes file/folder name unreadable

Bug Description

**Problem:
- Selecting a file or a folder with Marlin makes its name unreadable under many themes.

**Environment:
- Ubuntu 12.04
- Marlin 0.1 (0.1-0~832~precise1 from Marlin Daily PPA @ https://launchpad.net/~marlin-devs/+archive/marlin-daily)
- Themes tried:
    1- Ambiance, Ubuntu's official theme.
    2- Zukitwo, from Webupd8's theme PPA @ https://launchpad.net/~webupd8team/+archive/themes

**Additional Notes:
- For the sake of compariosn, a Nautilus window under the same theme has been added to a screenshot with Marlin.

- Many other themes have been tried and gave the same problem; Radiance, Orion, Evolve.
- The only theme that displays the selected file/folder names in a readable way is Gnome's Adwaita.

I posted this as a question before I noticed that this had been filed as a bug report. Marlin also has this problem with Mint's default Mint-X/Mint-Z themes. If someone could delete my question it would be much appreciated.

The Atolm and OMG themes work properly as well.
