hello, i just checked the packages under ubuntu 12.04 and dropbox + marlin are working fine.
Are u sure dropbox daemon is started? type "dropbox start" in a terminal.

Can you check the versions of the packages installed on your computer.

I tried running that in a terminal and still doesn't work. I checked the versions of the dropbox plugin (0.1-0~19~precise1) and marlin (0.1-0~837~precise1). Both seem to be correct. It's just odd that Ubuntu One plugin works for me but not the other.

Well for some reason now it is now working. Not sure why or what I did. But it is working now.

I just had the Dropbox plugin randomly deactivated and squirreled around with restarting and reinstalling and running in debug mode until I realized that the plugin simply wasn't loading, because it was simply switched off in the options. I never visited that tab of the options previously. So it might have been that the setting got toggled somehow for you as well.
