Data import ending with fatal error: ERROR 1406 (22001) at line 39365: Data too long for column 'Abbreviation' at row 1

I set the | sql_mode | STRICT_TRANS_TABLES
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 / MySQL version 5.1.41-3ubuntu12.7-log
