wish: considered-as-read optional

One feature of other notification applets that I really like is the reflection of the stated number of unread messages to the actual number of unread messages in the gmail inbox. However with this applet when you click on a message to read it, the applet stores locally that the message has been read. I do not wish this feature and want the indication to be the actual number of unread messages.

The feature that adds to the gconf 'messages-considered-as-read' is unwanted and I would love a checkbox or some setting I could tick to prevent unread messages from being added to this list, so that I know the number I see in the applet corresponds to the actual number of unread messages.

I tried locking this gconf setting to prevent items being added to it, but the program noticed and terminated on error.
