Bug Description
I use mail-notification in Ubuntu 10.04 on my IMAP account in parallel with my mail program (Thunderbird).
After I delete a message, when mail-notification updates its IMAP status, there is an error message (with blinking icon) that a message has been expunged. I update the status again manually, and then all is fine again.
It seems to me that this message is completely unnecessary for this kind of program.

Correction: It occurs directly when I exit Thunderbird after deleting messages.
The message is: "Some messages in the mailbox had previously been expunged and could not be returned.".
I use Thunderbird 3.0.8 and mail-notification 5.4.
