The current options for the mail-notification pop-ups are great. They allow you to pick the level of detail and many other settings. However, despite their usefulness, pop-ups are often turned off completely, as they can interrupt one's work flow and decrease privacy (you don't want to be interrupted by an inappropriate personal message while showing something to your boss).

What I propose is a set of options to populate the tooltip with more detailed message information -- for those of us who disable pop-ups entirely. Specifically, the subjects and senders of all new mail (in a scrolling container, please!) would be a lifesaver.
