Bug Description

I'd problem installing mail-notification vesion 4.1 and the new 5.0 also.
This is the error appeared:
/usr/bin/install: impossibile fare stat di `./mail-notification-C.omf.out': No such file or directory
make[4]: *** [install-data-hook-omf] Error 1
make[4]: Leaving directory `/home/simone/download/mail-notification-4.1/help/C'
make[3]: *** [install-data-am] Error 2
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/simone/download/mail-notification-4.1/help/C'
make[2]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/simone/download/mail-notification-4.1/help/C'
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/simone/download/mail-notification-4.1/help'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

the install program can't stat the file.
A simple workaround is touching that file: the make install works fine.
This is quite annoying errror.

thank you
ciao simone

ps: my system is OpenSuse 10.2 on a athlon xp 2400+

Please use a binary package unless you know what you are doing.

Changed in mail-notification:
status: New → Invalid

As I have specified early, my system is an OpenSuse 10.2 and I didn't find any repository with
precompiled package for it.
So, I must compile mail notification from the source.

ciao simone.

Reopening this and confirming, I've tested this in Jaunty alpha 4. mail-notification is in Universe.

I am attaching a screenshot that shows the same behavior.

Invoking mail-notification from the menus again works OK, so I presume after the first error is displayed (or on 2nd time the app is invoked), the file is created.

The error shown in the dialog box is:

A fatal error has occurred in Mail Notification

The default configuration has not been installed properly. Please check your Mail Notification installation.

Changed in mail-notification:
status: Invalid → Confirmed
