Bug Description

Bug imported from old bug tracker: https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/index.php?21232

Received from Patrick Schoenfeld <email address hidden>:

"i would like to ask you to add an option so that mail-notification also checks the subfolders of an imap acccount for new mails. It probably makes no sense to check every folder, but it would make sense to check every subscribed folders.

This enables users of serverside filters to take advantage of your applet."

This would require substantial changes to the IMAP code so I'm postponing it.

Changed in mail-notification:

What's about the Evolution mailbox?
I think this could be realized a lot easier.
Multiple selections with CTRL+click would be perfect...
A little workaround I also tried has also failed:
Create a search directory with all unread messages in Evolution and subscribe to this dir with mail-notification.
Unfortunatly I just get a segfault :(

This would be very useful feature! I would like to see this too.
I gather mail from many accounts and sort them on the server with filters.
I also sort with other criteria and currently I don't get notified about those mails :(

Back in the days I was using windows I was forced to write such tool myself http://sourceforge.net/projects/imapchecker/ but now I just don't get the time to do it.
It would be also useful if we can use regexp to include or exclude folders to check, because I don't want to get notified about Spam for example.

We would greatly appreciate if you add this functionality soon.

Best regards.
