Hovering over notify icon with large queue of unread hovers off screen

Of all the email notfiers I've tried, this one is the only one I can tolerate (others lack serious features), but I see a problem when using the notify icon.

When I have several emails unread (7 in my case), and I want to hover over the notify icon, I see a small dropshadow (barely noticeable) at the top of the screen, which makes it seem like it's previewing the emails but positioning the box wrong. My email icon is on the top of the screen (XFCE). I'm not sure if this is happening because the list is long or some other reason, etc... Either way it seems broken.
