Hi Andy,

Sorry for the issues you are encountering. A quick note (a developer will need to look at the error log): Mahara does not yet support PHP 7.3. Did you try it with 7.2?

Cheers
Kristina

We have PHP 7.2 not installed, only as i note before, 7.1 and 7.3. Our Problem is, on the productive Server we must install Moodle 3.7 and this will run min. 7.1

Hi Andy R,

The problem may relate to this issue: https://mahara.org/interaction/forum/topic.php?id=8369

"Ok, the problem here is due to how older PHP saved file based sessions vs newer version (older sessions began with a char 0-9 or a-f, newer versions use 0-9 or a-v).

To fix this up you will also need to go into your dataroot directory (path is defined in the config.php file) and delete the 'sessions' sub-directory as well. The sessions directory and correct sub-directories will be automatically generated again."

Can you check your dataroot sessions directory to see if this is the problem and if the fix sorts out the problem?

Cheers

Robert

Hi Robert

This seems to work! I will test & try a lttle bit more, the next days and will report! For the moment the server runs under PHP Version 7.3.5 and MySQL 5.7.25. The server also run with mpm-itk.

Thx a lot.

Hi Andy,

Your error message mentions /auth/radius in the line with WAR 99. Radius is not a core Mahara authentication method. We are not aware of it being an auth method for Mahara at all and thus don't know what might be wrong in there. Can you remove it and check if your site works without it and then troubleshoot further?

Cheers
Kristina
