Bug Description

After merging two accounts by exporting Leap2A file from one and importing to the other, user is unable to load artifacts on portfolio. Unable to upload ppt, videos or galleries, nor modify these that already exist.

Log into user's account, open up portfolio, click on edit, add image, and it doesn't show up. It freezes when click on the gear. I can only add or delete the blocks.

Only user that has imported Leap2A is experiencing the problems. No other user or portfolio is causing issues. User is no where near quota for files, only 411 MB worth.

Hi John,

Can you please say which version of Mahara you are using and whether you have a custom theme?

Can you please try uploading the Leap2A to the demo site at https://demo.mahara.org and see if you run into the same error?

Thanks
Kristina

Mahara Version: 17.04.2

I cannot add a user by this Leap2A file

I believe that there could be an issue with the documents in it. Please
give me time after this weekend to work next week more on the test site.

Thank you.

I keep having an error when trying to import a Leap2A file.

I was working with one user with this issue, deleted a couple folders and
then the user was able to post images and image galleries again.

Later on today that user was stuck with the same issue. User cannot post
images.

What is odd, the artifacts that do not load, and later after the page is
refresh show up but cannot edit are as follows:
Image
Everything under media:
File(s) to download
Folder
Image gallery
Embedded media
PDF
</> Some HTML

And under General, Note

Everything else is working fine.

I could not recreate the same issue on the Test site. As soon as I try to
do any type of Leap2A import, it will not accept my file. Last note, my
settings are 50 GB per user for the quota.

I feel as though this could be a server issue, but I am not sure where to
start looking, I have questions now about the database and how the Moodle
and Mahara sites are configured together. Please advise, any help would be
greatly appreciated at this point.

Hi Jonathan,

How big is the Leap2A file that you are trying to upload to the demo site?

Do you have anything in your error log?

It also sounds a bit like a JavaScript issue if the content chooser does not load properly on the "Edit" screen. Can you please check your web developer tool console for any messages and errors there?

Do you have a custom theme or any other custom code on your site?

Cheers
Kristina

I have one Leap2A file that is too big for the demo site. The other one is
29.5 MB and has an issue.

Do you know where the default error logs are housed:
The server is a Ubuntu 16.04.3 Xenial build with a defaulted Moodle version
3.0.9 Build 20170313 and Mahara version 17.04.2, PHP 5.6, MySql 5.6.36

I do not have any custom theme or any other custom code, it is a standard
Mahara Build.

I can provide Leap2A zips of a user's profile that is having issues, if
that would be fruitful.

Please advise

Hi Jonathan,

If you haven't changed your settings, the error log should be at /var/log/apache2/mahara.error.log but please double check your Apache configuration: https://wiki.mahara.org/index.php/System_Administrator's_Guide/Installing_Mahara#Apache_Configuration
