Distorted profile pics in pages

Bug Description

Version 16.10.3
User profile pics are taken from Moodle. MNet integration.
The pics are shown correct in user profile overview

If the user creates a page and adds a block with profile information the pics are distorted. See screens.

I tried to replicate it on the system and the same happend with my pics.
I tried to replicate it on an other system (same version) but there all was ok.

I checked the settings for picture resizing but they are standard.

Any ideas?
