Bug Description
If you create a link in TinyMCE, then use the link button to try to change the link, you can change the link's URL but you can't change the text of the link via the link editor's "Text to display" field. (See screenshot)
To replicate:
1. Put a Text block onto a page.
2. In the Text block's text area, write "Mahara".
3. Select "Mahara" and use the link editor to turn it into a link to "https:/
4. Click "Ok" on the link editor.
5. Still in TinyMCE, now move the cursor into the "Mahara" link's text, and press the link editor button again.
6. The link editor pops up and displays Url "https:/
7. Change the "Text to display" field to say "Testing"
8. Click "Ok" on the link editor
Expected result: The link text should now read "Testing" and be a link to https:/
Actual result: The link text still reads "Mahara" and is a link to https:/
Some experimenting indicates that the "Url" field works fine. And the "Text to display" field works fine if you're selecting some non-linked text to add a link to it. But if you're trying to alter an existing link, it doesn't work.
It appears this bug was fixed in TinyMCE 4.0.21. So I'll mark this as a duplicate of the "Upgrade TinyMCE" bug. http:// www.tinymce. com/develop/ changelog/ ?ctrl=version& act=view& pr_id=1& vr_id=861
