Widening the block may have an impact on usability for portable devices. Another option would be to move the buttons into four rows instead of three.

I emailed our design expert Evonne to get her feedback on whether it'd better to widen the config popup or wrap the buttons into 4 narrow rows.

I heard back from Evonne. She said it would be fine to widen it to 625px.

She also suggested just putting all the buttons in one big row and letting them word-wrap into as many rows as necessary. I tried a form of this -- making the buttons you see when you hit the "advanced" toggle into one wrappable row. It looked good on block configs, but it caused the TinyMCE area to get *too* wide on other pages, which did not look good.

So I'm just going to go with the 625px widening.

Hi Aaron,
sorry I am getting late to this again.

The Add Journal textbox (/artefact/blog/new/index.php) works well for me. I am just realizing this now. Maybe its a better fix to apply to the add textbox issue I reported here?
