This plugin was presented at the Mahara Hui 2014 in Wellington and looked quite promising from its functionality. Basically it allows one to customize the fields in profiles & resumes. We greatly need to be able to make these areas customizable, so this or something similar to it could be a drop-in replacement for that, in the long run.

Unfortunately we've run far behind schedule for Mahara 1.10, so I have to push this out to Mahara 1.11.

I agree with this change in goal.
The artefact "booklet" needs improvement. Indeed we have to move from a prototype to a feature built into the heart of Mahara. In particular, it is necessary to follow the recent changes in "resume" and set the export procedure in LEAP.
I await your advice for how to continue this work and who is best placed to lead.

Thank you for updating your patch. We discussed how best to integrate booklet. It will need some UX love so that we won't rework it directly after implementing it.

Since you are using it at your university (and at other French universities), do you have feedback from students on how easy / difficult they find to work with it?

Hello Christophe,

Mahara is introducing "Smart Evidence" step 1 with 15.04 and will go forward step 2 in 15.10. Smart Evidence is funded by the University of Canberra and the blueprint about it can be read here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/1409546

Do think either that SmartEvidence is different enough to Booklet and therefore it makes sense to have them both in Mahara or SmartEvidences can remplace Booklet?

I don't think SmartEvidence can replace the Booklet plugin as they serve different purposes to my knowledge. The booklet plugin is more of an artefact plugin where you can create additional items for a CV for example whereas SmartEvidence provides a possibility for working with competency frameworks and assessing / evaluating / giving feedback to authors with that.
