Delete multiple pages at once

One for the wishlist, please.
It would be good to be able to select multiple pages and then delete them all in one go.

Having done this in the past I'd agree it can be a pain to manually delete content a single page at a time when revamping resources. Could this perhaps be an option for a tick-box controlled set of common 'bulk actions' such as bulk editing share permissions, and changing user permissions for group pages?

There was already a wishlist item for this at bug #1153151. I marked that one as duplicate as we have more "heat" here and also the additional question by Gordon.

This is something that I am keen to see added and tutors have asked for.

The problem is that it is easy to copy pages and collections of pages but when you delete/remove a collection the pages do not get deleted. This is a good safety measure - but it can lead to lots of unwanted pages that have to be deleted one by one.

BTW perhaps deletion of pages could use a recycle bin as an additional layer of safety. So any accidental deletes can be retrieved?

Yes, it would be good to have all those options. There are a few options:

1. Delete a collection but leave the pages in place because you want to use them elsewhere.
2. Delete a collection and all pages.
3. Delete a collection and only a few pages from it. I don't know if this option would actually be required or if it would only add complexity. Would your users for example be keen on that?

I would still keep the artefacts where they are and not delete them.

P.S. That is artefacts that can be reused. One-off ones like external media will be deleted as we do not keep them at the moment either.
