Bug Description

reported at https://mahara.org/interaction/forum/topic.php?id=5665

Flash or flv files are not included in the Leap2A export in Mahara 1.5, 1.6 and 1.8dev, but work in 1.4. I tested 1.7 and flv file is exported on the demo site alright.

An mp4 file is exported without problems as well. It really seems to be limited to flash files.

Hi Kristina,

Hmm, my test on 1.8 dev (with https://reviews.mahara.org/#/c/2450/ and https://reviews.mahara.org/#/c/2451/ in place) I can't replicate the problem.

Using FF 23

I created a new user, logged in as new user, created a page and added .flv, .mp4, and .avi files to the page in blocks

I added some more files to the content -> files area.

I exported both the full portfolio as leap2a and exported only the page as leap2a.

I opened the zip files and in them where the expected video files including the .flv ones.

I'm unable the read the forum post as I've not got access to it - could the salient points be added to this bug?

Is it related to a certain browser?

Hi Kristina,

As I'm unable to replicate this problem I will mark the bug 'triaged'.

Can you send me the .flv file(s) that you found were not getting exported to leap2a so that I may test with it?

Cheers

Robert

Hi Kristina,

Hmm, strange. I can add the flv file you sent me (see attached) to content -> files and to a
block on a page and it will export and import fine for me both as a
full leap export and as a leap2a export of only the page it was on.

I do note that the file is 8.4mb and I was only testing it by itself -
I wonder if there are problems if there are lots of large files all
trying to be exported at once?

I did however find a different bug - one can't import a leap2a zip
file if it's bigger than max file upload size - so will file a bug
report for that (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/525632)
