Improve navigation in the group when viewing page / collection

I like the idea of Mahara groups, but I find them a bit clunky for a couple reasons:

1. Lack of central navigation once in a collection or page. One must click back to the central groups page, and find the group again. I’d like to easily return directly to the group homepage from a group page or collection or from pages and collections submitted to the group. Perhaps a “Back to Group Home” button?

2. Lack of organization for submissions: Wish there was some way of rearranging submissions and putting them into folders. I often get group administrators who come in with a huge list of submissions and are completely lost in the clutter. It would be nice if they could see which pages they have viewed already, and which need more time to review. Maybe a way to make notes to themselves that would appear next to the submission on the administrator group home page.

Lack of access to personal mahara files from the group files page. I’d like to easily transfer a file from my mahara files, rather than have to upload it again to the group.

Lack of community: As an administrator, I’d like to be able to contact everyone in the group via email.

I would also like to see more ways in controlled group submissions areas that allows ticking or archiving so are organised in a way to help the lecturer visually see what needs to be dealt with. Especially useful when more than one assessing lecturer using the controlled group - sleeker process with no physical handover.

I don't know why I hadn't remarked it earlier: One way of getting back to the group homepage when on a page or collection is to click on the author that is listed on the page / collection. That takes you right back to the group homepage. It should be made clearer, but for the moment, you wouldn't have to go back to the group overview page and find the group again.

I'll change the title of this request to deal with the navigational item as all other items have been reported separately: There should be an easier way to find your way back to the group homepage. Currently, the navigation doesn't allow you to go back easily unless you click the author of the page / collection, but it may not be so obvious that you are being taken back to the group homepage.
