Bug Description

Groups don't have plans. I think it's a good idea that membres of the group could plan group's future activity and goals.

We have had a request for such a feature, although I think what was asked for was that a group administrator (a teacher) could set up plans with tasks and the group members (students) would mark the tasks as completed, rather than a more open group planning tool. I think it will be possible to do both though.

I have some time just now so I am happy to look into it and feedback that I come up with.

Hello Kevin,

Getting more specs around what you would like to see in your version of plans for groups would be great. It does sound different from what Joan put forward. If that is the case, it might be better to open a new feature request (also called bug - no difference in that here on Launchpad).

Look forward to your idea. :-)

The planning tool is excellent for individuals and I think it would be equally valuable for groups, allowing them to collaborate and create timelines for tasks. I think it would be fine as is, all it needs is the ability to share with a group and for group members to be able to edit and add to it.

From a duplicate wishlist item:

It should be roughly the same functionnality but placed in the group menu and for each task, we should be able to choose the member of the group assigned to the task.
And of course linked to that why not a shared calendar...
