Bug Description

Users on the Mahara Barcamp 2014 complained that they had great difficulties understand the different tabs in the skin creation section and that they would like to have more information on the meaning/effect of the different settings. Maybe a help-icon on each tab would be a good start.
We also had a look at the Documentation (would it be possible/make sense to link to the corresponding documentation from within Mahara?) and found mostly information about the general functionality of the controls but little information on what is the difference between skin-background and page-background, for example.

Hi Tobias,

Thank you for the report. I'll add some more information to the user manual to make things clearer and then we could look into using some of the text for help icons on the screen.

Linking directly to the user manual in the way Moodle does would have to be implemented for all of Mahara and would be a cool project. For the time being, we can include links to the user manual manually and just have to remember to update them for each release.

Cheers
Kristina

I really like the idea of putting links to manual.mahara.org into the code. I've filed a separate bug to track that idea: Bug 1393656.
