after entering the administrator password, following message pops up:
There are no package managers that are compatible
with this installer. Please read INSTALLER.txt
for manual installation instructions.
Did not yet try the manual install

Just completed manual install. It worked and I am using cellwriter on a rotated screen to write this note.
