Bug Description

The stock availability is not right when you update the stock level only. Not available product are still available on Magento after update.

I ran into the same problem. It seems that Magento ignores the 0 quantity/not in stock information if a product has never had any quantities in stock before. I just forced it to always transmit a quantity of 1 before the real quantity which solved the problem for us. I attached the patch which fixed it for us.
