Bug Description

I just installed maverick on an imac 6.1 (white iMac 24") on can't find a way to make brightness hotkeys work.

The sound hotkeys work fine.

I have the mactell ppa configured.

I have nvidia-173-modaliases, the proprietary nvidia driver installed.

I tried with/without pommed, with/without mbp-nvidia-bk-dkms, with both, with none.

I added Option "RegistryDwords" "EnableBrightnessControl=1" to xorg.conf.

I haven't found a way to "see" the hotkeys (any og them) even the sound ones don't reach "xev" even if they are recognized and work.

What should I try next ?

Oh, I forgot: even if I can't key the keys working, a way to change the brightness will very much appreciated by my poor eyes, '/sys/devices/platform/applesmc.768/light' contains:

(8,0)

Is there a way to change the content of this file ?
