Bug Description
First, admittedly, I launched this one day, expecting to come back to it the next to begin work. When I did come back to it, I discovered that it had been stuck in the "Deploying" state for over a day, instead of timing out and being marked as "Failed deployment".
System is a Power system (dradis). Deployment was attempted but as I said, it remained in Deploying state until cpaelzer mentioned this on IRC and I went to check on it (at this poing about 2 days or so later. Maybe more, I honestly don't remember when I kicked it off. The MAAS logs on the server should have hints there.
Spoke with Adam via IRC who asked me to file the bug. I'm sorry I don't have more to provide, but I don't have shell access to the machine and can't see the logs to grab any pertinent info.
I had a look at that syste using ipmi.
And it looks like a proxy was added to the petitboot ('BIOS') and I assume PXE through proxy didn't work well.
Hence I removed the proxy conf from petitboot (and also added boot from disk as 3rd boot option - which was missing) and kicked-off a deployment of 18.04 and it worked for me again ...
An open question is still that MAAS didn't timed out and stayed in status PXE boot for more than a day?
