Bug Description
this is a wishlist
With HP and Dell (and others soon) supporting Redfish will allow a more reliable bare metal power state manipulator than IPMI.
Plus Redfish has the ability to read/write BIOS configurations allowing MAAS to do more than simply control power state.

Hi Sam,
This has been discussed before and has been deferred to when there are manufacturers actually shipping nodes with Redfish and several users requesting this to be made available.
Thanks for filing the bug.
