As i said, curtin in Xenial (main/released) does send the install log. Curtin in Xenial-updates does NOT Send the install log.
Note that sending *messages* vs the *install.log* is different. This is a regression in curtin because the *new* version of curtin in Xenial-updates results in no install.log being stored.
