[xenial,1.10] Commissioning fails silently

Bug Description

On a clean Xenial install of 1.10.0~alpha1+bzr4550-0ubuntu1~xenial1 with the changes described in lp:1524995 and lp:1524881, commissioning a node fails (the node timeouting to "Failed Commissioning" after a while) silently. I could not find any clear indicator of the failure on the logs (attached)

The commissioning process starts and follows apparently normal behavior, the machine powering down after the commissioning run completes. There is no visual indication on the UI of any events beyond the boot.
