Bug Description
Hello, I just upgraded 1.8.2 -> 1.9a2 and noticed that MAAS converted my switch (a device I created on 1.8) into a node (somewhat unsuccessfully :)).

All of my switches were added as nodes. Resulting nodes and devices must be deleted and cannot be recreated as devices without being added as nodes again. Installed Version = MAAS Version 1.9.0 (alpha3+bzr4363) wily.
