Bug Description

I installed maas 1.7.0~beta5+bzr3199+3164+318~ppa0~ubuntu14.04.1 from scratch.

Created the admin user, logged in, went to images, selected the precise one (trusty was already selected), i386 arch, and clicked on "apply changes".

Feedback from there on is terrible. I get some spinning wheels, and import "stages", but at some point all that ends and I'm left with two faded out circles, static, next to two images (see attached screenshot).

Hovering over these circles tells me "Waiting for clusters to sync".

Nothing else happens. Reloading the page doesn't change a thing. Keep in mind these are static faded out circles, not spinning ajaxy wheels.

Now what?

Can we please get back the import script that you could run in a terminal and at least watch it do stuff? :)

No :). As for the rest of the bug, though, fair point :)

Sorry the script is not coming back. :-)

So the reason you are seeing this issue is because you selected precise. There currently is an issue where hardware enablement kernels are not syncing correctly onto the region, so you see two precise images in the images pages. Since there are two precise images on the images page the checking of if the cluster is in sync is busted.

I am in the process of fixing this issue.

As of now, technically your cluster is in sync, its just not showing that in the UI and your MAAS is completely operational.

The following is what needs to be done to handle this correctly:

1. Only show one resource on the images page for all HWE resources.
2. Show cluster in sync for HWE resources.

summary: - "waiting for clusters to sync" what should I do?

Is this fix released in a 1.7 Beta (or possibly the 1.7RC)? Or should I go to trunk to get it?
