Bug Description

The default Ubuntu installation from MAAS is still running the 3.13.0-19 kernel. "no packages matching running kernel 3.13.0-19-generic in archive".

Steps to reproduce:

1. Enlist Node
2. Commission Node.
3. Start Node (using default installer)

Expected:

Installation proceeds and completes successfully.

Results:

"no packages matching running kernel 3.13.0-19-generic in archive"

This is with the most recent releases of maas that leverage the /var/lib/maas/boot-resources directory for the ephemeral images.

It can be worked around with the fastpath installer, but, for those that need to do d-i type installations with custom preseeds, etc. this is slowing them down.

Mark, the screenshot you posted is exactly the issue. If you hit ALT+F4, you'll see the issue with the 3.13.0-19 packages not being available.

This happens because Trusty is still a moving target (i.e. still in development) and old kernels are being removed as new kernel are being publishing. There is little that can be done here short of getting the data published by simplestreams at http://maas.ubuntu.com/images/ephemeral-v2/ updated (ping smoser for that).
