we plan on getting raring daily images available soon.
This bug shows a few issues that maas has:
a.) someone had to "enable" raring. Maas should use python-distro-info to get a list of available releases. It should just assume that it supports everything newer than precise that is "released". Having hard coded lists in maas (or any package) means pointless SRUs have to be made every 6 months.
b.) installation is not tied to ephemeral images. These two things really are completely disjoint. The failure above shouldn't matter.
We will have daily images of raring ephemeral available lsoon, but will not have 'released' until closer to release.
Also note, that this is easily worked around by configuration by doing:
echo "RELEASES='precise quantal'" | sudo tee -a /etc/maas/ import_ ephemerals
