Not sure if this is on the roadmap for maas-test or not, but it should be if not.
so far on my basic system, maas-test is awesome. it's working better and better every time I update.
The question arose, however, if it would work against newer systems using things like DMCI instead of IPMI (such as the newer Open Compute platforms) and things that don't have a traditional BMC (like SeaMicro, which as been enabled in MaaS itself).
MaaS test needs to be able to interface with those systems as well to issue the power on/off commands to perform the enlistment and commissioning tests.
