Typically in shell interactions, capitalized letter choices are the default used if you choose nothing. So in the above case, the expected result is that simply hitting return would automatically use Y.
For at least these questions, however (I didn't test this on every question during maniacs-setup), hitting return simply results in my being asked again. I have to manually type y<return> to proceed.
IME the following is true:
(Y/n) - Y is the default selected if the user chooses nothing and simply hits 'return'
(y/N) - N is the default selected if the user chooses nothing and simply hits 'return'
(y/n) - there is no default and a user MUST type one in. |
