what about 15.10? does this exist with a new user? for the person that confirmed this, could you describe your situation and how it may be different from the reproduction steps described above?

If it doesn't happen on a fresh 15.04 install (not just the live CD), then
we need to know the exact steps to reproduce. If one installs the older
version and then upgrade, do the symptoms reliably repeat themselves?

I think that was me. This problem effected my on 15.04. Not sure if it
still exists. I will have to reproduce the issue. My apologies.

I suspect something is wrong with the user account. Try with a guest

Can someone please describe to me all the situations this occurs? Only with fresh installs? Also on the live CD? Which versions? etc.

I didnť try fresh install (and don't want try.)
Live CD is running OK.
Error first occurs at Lubuntu 15.04.
Now after dist-upgrade to 15.10 it still occurs.

i cannot replicate this bug.
I have done an alternate 32 bit install and had no issue, up dated and still okay.
I then did a desktop install as a side-by-side and no issue, i then updated theat and still no issue.

that being said, until we have the exact steps to reproduce, then this bug report will remain incomplete and we will not be able to fix it.

OK
(I don't remember it exact but I guess it first occurs after transition on systemd or close to that.)

As a non-LTS release, 15.10 has a 9-month month support cycle and, as such, the support period is now nearing its end and Ubuntu 15.10 will reach end of life on Thursday, July 28th. At that time, Ubuntu Security Notices will no longer include information or updated packages for Ubuntu 15.10.
