Bug Description

When using Startup Disk Creator I get a dialog box that says "Failed to install the bootloader". I am using USB thumb drives and have tried three of them but none work. When I use Ubuntu 9.10's usd disk creator it works fine.

I have the same problem.

another question is why does the version numbers differ from the program and aptitude
One shows 0.2.16 the other 0.2.8:

aptitude show usb-creator-gtk:

Package: usb-creator-gtk
State: installed
Automatically installed: no
Version: 0.2.16

Then:

$ usb-creator-gtk --version
0.2.8

This is probably a bug in Ubuntu, which is a different project from Lucid, a prototype for an editor. Can you please change the project from Lucid to the appropriate one.

Since my Ubuntu 9.10 works fine which I said in my first comment but my Ubuntu 10.04 does not not sure why this was made invalid.

@sparker256: This bug is invalid in the project 'lucid' which does not refer to Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx but the Lucid editor (http://launchpad.net/lucid). See comment #5.

Sorry understand now should have said Ubuntu 10.04 or Lucid Lynx as I did not know that there is a lucid editor.
