Bug Description

Please backport hplip 3.10.9 to Ubuntu 10.04 if it's possible.

Now only the hplip 3.10.2 available, which is not support my printer. The documentation saids, hplip 3.10.9 is supports my printer.

I've tried to install it directly from source (http://sourceforge.net/projects/hplip/files/hplip/) but I can't use the sane with this new version of hplip

Hi!

A I found a way to install hplip 3.10.9 to an Ubuntu 10.04
First i purged and then installed hplip and sane (and also the related) packages, to have they clean.
Than I used the .run installer from the hplip.

After that, i had to set up my printer with hp-setup utility, and then everything works fine.

That was the workaround. You may can make a package, which is easier to do this.

new hpijs 3.10.9 driver packages would also fix some bugs in Ubuntu 10.x, for example bug #693922 :)
I've backported new hpijs 3.10.9 packages from Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty) to Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) and tested a little bit - now scanning works with HP LaserJet M1212nf

New hpijs driver packages for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS can be downloaded from Baltix GNU/Linux repository (ppa:baltix/ppa), see:
