Installed fine on my lucid test box, running a private test suite I have that exercises various amqp/rabbitmq functionality now.

So, I have a test suite that runs on lucid against 1.7.2-1ubuntu1, and it all ran successfully when I upgrade my lucid machine to rabbitmq-server 2.2.0-0ubuntu1, without any changes to the amqp libraries.

Thanks for the backport, it's working fine for us too. The newer version is more strict though, so it may requires some changes to the calling code: conflicting declaration of queues and exchanges now break, and the conf parameter of permissions is now respected.

By break, you mean it now tells you when your code is broken (declaring conflicting queues/exchanges) instead of failing silently or with an incorrect exception :)

Thanks for testing!

Please test for a maverick backport too so we can provide a proper upgrade path.

I have run the Ubuntu One server test suite with this installed on Maverick (we use rabbitmq heavily in it), and all tests still pass.
