Bug Description

Dear Ubuntu maintainers,

Would it be possible to backport the package "mrpt" [1] (in Ubuntu repositories since Jaunty) to its newer version?

MRPT is a collection of programs + libraries for mobile robotics.
The version of the upstream software in Lucid is "0.8.1", while the latest one is "0.9.1", and there're tons of new features and even new libraries not existing in 0.8.1 [2].
The latest version (its .dsc file) is currently at Debian mentors website [3], but I can upload it anywhere else if you prefer or need it. It should build in Ubuntu without any patch.

If it's not possible to do the backport, are we in time to update the package within Maverick??

Thanks a lot in advance for your time.

Best regards,
JL

We are not out of time to update in Maverick. In fact, that would be the only way we would be able to backport it.

You will need to file an update request bug, or sync to get it updated in maverick. Once that is done, we can look at a backport.

Keep this bug up to date with the updating version in maverick.

Thanks
