Bug Description

gwrite 0.3.0 has been released in Maverick.

gwrite 0.0.2 appears to have been released in Nov 2009. Since then 6 new versions have been released.

I'm not sure about the merits of a Freeze Exception over a Backport. I'm guessing that a backport is more appropriate for a new package that's reasonably obscure and being updated frequently. If a Freeze Exception is more relevant, please let me know and I'll try to follow that process.

If it helps at all, I've just installed gwrite_0.3.0-1_all.deb on Lucid and it appears to work fine. :-)

I'm a little confused by this whole process. Personally, I'm no longer using gwrite and we're getting much closer to the release of 10.10. If users want to upgrade gwrite, the debs provided by the developer appear to work fine on Ubuntu, so maybe a backport is unnecessary.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
